FoodPrint campaign at a pan-European networking event
Presentation of innovative Life applications
The FoodPrint campaign to reduce food waste is participating online in a pan-European event organised by Life Foster.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 5 July 2022, (Cyprus time 16.00) and all Life participants will have the opportunity to present their actions and innovative applications online at ZOOM https://zoom.us/j/93161621580?pwd=VGUzVUxoMHZVdFl5U2FWRVNFV2QvZz09
The presentation of the FoodPrint programme will be given by the CEO of Parpounas Sustainability Consultants, Mr. Kyriakos Parponas.
The FoodPrint campaign is being scaled up throughout this year with networking activities both in Cyprus and across the EU.
Reducing food waste is needed more than ever before. It means saving money at a time when households and businesses are facing the problem of scarcity. Reducing waste will bring a reduction in environmental costs in waste management as well as better food management to support vulnerable groups in need.
Cypriot consumers need to buy what they need, store it properly and consume it in time, avoiding waste.
The FoodPrint campaign is implemented by the “Dias” complex, as coordinator and with partners, OEB, the Environment Department, Opinion and Action and Parpounas Sustainability Consultants and Friends of the Earth.
The campaign is co-funded by the EU and in particular by the Life programme.
