The Federation of Employers and Industrialists OEB is promoting companies that are actively engaged on reducing food waste, by establishing “FoodPrint” awards. In a TV interview on 3/11/2021 for Sigma TV – “Protoselido”, Marios Papageorgiou, Energy & Environment Officer of OEB developed the rationale of the awards and the actions that can be taken by companies to reduce the waste of their food chain as well as to develop methods of more efficient utilisation of their raw materials. The AWARDs competition is addressed to sectors directly related to food such as the Hotel sector, the Restaurant sector and the Food Retail sector.
